Will Coaching work for me? Only you can determine this. A very few people cannot be coached successfully, but to gain best value - you must also be prepared to invest time and effort in executing on the actions which you develop.
This is for the rich and famous ... isn’t it? Many very successful people retain coaches to increase and enjoy their achievements, however we aim to make the benefits of coaching available to all who have the will to enhance their lives. Our clients range from housewives to actresses and from professionals to factory workers. From Entrepreneurs to people dealing with redundancy. Often the biggest benefits are realised with people with low expectations of themselves.
What can I be coached on? The simple answer is anything which matters to you. Getting out of a rut, seeking or improving relationships, getting a new job or changing direction, career growth, work life balance, overcoming fears, improving confidence, public speaking, setting up a business, getting fit, completing a diet ............
I want coaching on business issues, is that different? Partly, whilst the coaching skills are the same, to be effective business coaching requires insight into the world and issues that you face. Our skills and experience cover business and management and we coach business people and owners. (For corporate and executive programmes also see our business site http://www.uniqueadvantage.co.uk)
Why is Coaching suddenly so popular? Well in fact it’s been around quite a while, coaching has been used to great effect in large corporations for many years, though more recently some professional coaches have extended into working with personal clients. The rapid growth in popularity we believe stems from two things; firstly life has grown much more pressured and insular over the last 15 years with fewer sources of non judgemental support, and secondly it works!
How do I know my coach is a qualified professional Coaching is not yet a regulated profession, so you should be sure to check a coach’s qualifications. Our coaches are externally accredited by the European Coaching Foundation. We are also affiliated to the International Association of Coaches and School of Small Business Coaching.
How can I find out about other peoples experiences Check out our testimonials information on the About Us page.
How much does it cost? Typical fees for the Permission to Succeed programme, based on a renewable monthly programme of 3 calls each month are £195 per month. This is fully inclusive of call charges to UK landlines e-mail support and all preparation and exercise materials. We also offer other programme options - contact us for details.
How can I be sure I’m not wasting money You are protected in two ways - firstly we offer you a risk free first session - if by the end we do not agree that coaching is right for you you will have no obligation to continue and that session will be at our cost. Secondly, we agree objectives for each session - if we do not make progress to those objectives we will schedule extra time or resource to reach that agreed objective. Remember, you are making an investment in yourself and in moving forward, many clients find that they quickly recoup their investment by getting the job or raise they wanted, or by saving on short term feel good therapy which distracts from their frustrations, others gain a much more valuable commodity by regaining time and energy for themselves and their lives.
How long should I expect to continue coaching This is very personal - some clients like long term support, others are very focused on specific issues and return when a new problem surfaces. Typically clients gain most momentum on a programme of around 3 months - though again we have no interest in prolonging your coaching beyond, the point where you are gaining real benefit, so you can halt a programme at any time.
I don’t live in the UK - can I still receive coaching Yes, we’re delighted to coach over national boundaries, the only restriction is our language skills which aren’t fluent enough to coach other than in English, and clearly we need to take care with time zones -though that often works out very well. For Eire, US, Australia and many other countries WE STILL COVER CALL CHARGES to landlines.
